Andrew Schwarz

Andrew has significant experience in providing advice to business owners, financiers and advisors in relation to operational performance, distressed businesses, fraud investigation, due diligence reviews, litigation support and business valuations.

Andrew has over 20 years experience in accounting and finance having worked in public practice providing accounting and financial advice to small and medium sized business owners and held senior finance roles in large private corporate entities. Since 1996 he has specialised in insolvency, corporate restructuring and forensic accounting. Most recently Andrew was a partner of national accounting firm Taylor Woodings which was acquired in 2013 by FTI Consulting Inc a global consulting firm. In 2014 Andrew established AS Advisory to better service his SME client base.

Andrew has particular expertise in the wine industry where he has acted in a number of capacities including, director, advisor, insolvency practitioner and expert witness. He is often called  on to provide operational and strategic advice to vineyard owners, assist financiers with distressed vineyard assets and act as an expert witness in litigation involving wineries. As an owner and board member of a winery in Western Victoria Andrew brings genuine hands on experience to the role.

Andrew enjoys strong relationships with all the major banks and financiers and regularly assists them in dealing with their distressed assets. 

He is regularly sought as an expert witness in litigation matters with a particular emphasis on family law, insolvency and loss of profit claims.

Andrew is a member of CPA Forensic Discussion Group and the ICAA Business Valuation Special Interest Group.
